You can run up to 4 races, but your best three finishes will be scored (your lowest score will be dropped).
Points are calculated based on a % of best finish time for overall male and overall female (for example, overall male’s time / your time x 300 points) AND based on a % of best finish time for age division (overall age div time / your time x 200 points).
Example: The overall male finisher in the Wild in the Woods 10M wins 300 points for gender overall win + 200 points for age division win = a total of 500 points. Your points would be Gender winner time / Your Time X 300 pts + Age div winner time / your time x 200 pts.
(Tip: if you are working with different increments of time like hours, minutes and seconds, make sure you convert them all to smallest increment of time before doing your calculations, for example, a finish time of 50:16 would be 3,016 seconds)
NO, participants score points in any races that are run which are scored towards series standings.
You will keep the age group you started in. For example, if you are 49 for the Wild in the Woods trail race, then you will remain in that age group until the completion of the Castlewood Cup 2019 event.
Yes, transfers are allowed. There will be a form at on-site registration, and the fee will be $5.00 per transfer.
Due to the costs associated with putting on the series refunds and deferrals are not permitted. Race entry transfers (per race) are allowed to another runner for a nominal fee.
